Auctions of antiques

I’ve become increasingly more interested in antiques and other old stuff (everything that’s old isn’t antique is it?) lately. It all began, I think, back when I was I kid and my father gave me this old cavalry sword (odd thing to give to an eight year-old kid actually) which grandfather wore and used way back in World War I. Anyways, since then I’ve become more and more infatuated with antique stuff in general and old military items especially. Don’t ask me why, but I have. Right now I looking for this old drawer-table which looks exactly like the one the English general Douglas Haig and his French equivalent Ferdinand Foch used to draw up the strategies for the allies at the battle of Somme in 1916. I’m not looking for the actual piece of course, that would be way over my range, but a replica of something similar. Hopefully I might be able to find one at the auctions of antiques. There is quite few of those these days, both the old-school version and online varieties, so something is bound to show up somewhere sooner or later.
